Ms. Olivia – Assistant director

Ms. Olivia serves as the Assistant Director of Montessori Children’s School, working alongside Mrs. Deven to help guide and support the day-to-day life of the school. She brings a blend of experience, enthusiasm, and a deep love for working with children. Before stepping into this leadership role, she spent two years as the 5-day Toddler Assistant, where she also learned the ins and outs of school operations from the former Administrative Assistant. This hands-on experience allowed her to connect deeply with MCS’s mission and routines while preparing her to take on a broader administrative role.

With a background in Special Education, Ms. Olivia graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education, a minor in Early Intervention Services, and a 0-3 Specialist certification. She is a licensed educator in Ohio, and her knowledge of individualized, child-centered education fits seamlessly with the Montessori approach. Ms. Olivia appreciates how Montessori supports each child’s unique growth, allowing them to build confidence in a nurturing, respectful environment—a value she holds dear.

Outside of school, Ms. Olivia enjoys spending time with family, practicing reformer Pilates, and taking walks with her big golden doodle. A former pre-professional dancer, she delights the children by showing off her splits and flips upon request! In her downtime, she loves reading on her Kindle and finding moments of joy in simple routines.

For Ms. Olivia, building relationships with children is all about respect and fun. She loves getting down to their level and connecting through a shared sense of silliness and understanding, fostering an environment where each child feels valued and comfortable. Working at MCS, where students, parents, and staff all share a common purpose, is a daily source of inspiration for her, and she looks forward to supporting the school’s growth and bright future.
